 Founded in 1973 by immigrant brothers from Jalisco, Mexico, Tecalitlan quickly garnered a reputation as the go-to spot for authentic Mexican fare on Chicago Avenue.

Today, the restaurant is still family-owned and after decades in business, Tecalitlan still prides itself on sharing delicious Mexican cuisine, coupled with a love for the Mexican culture and heritage, with a new generation of guests.

Through the years Tecalitlan’s menu has grown and so too, have the accolades.
