Nando’s PERi-PERi, the South African-Portuguese restaurant known worldwide for its spicy flame-grilled chicken, is hatching in NewCity. Our third Chicago location is located on NewCity’s ground floor, next to the main central plaza. Nando’s has built an intensely loyal following, from the West Loop to western Zimbabwe, by providing fresh food in a relaxed atmosphere with friendly service. Every Nando’s is painstakingly designed and completely unique, with earthy textures and bright colors that reflect its sunny African-Portuguese heritage. The NewCity restaurant is no exception, with original South African paintings and textiles, reclaimed flooring rescued from a defunct North Carolina furniture factory and undulating wooden “fins” that wrap from floor to the ceiling.
